1. How many diapers does a child need?
For one baby, about 24 diapers are recommended. For an older child, around 18 diapers.
It is estimated that a baby needs about 10 diapers per day, while an older child needs about 7, assuming laundry is done every 2 days. It’s useful to have a few extra clean diapers while the washed ones are drying. Always consider your child’s urination and bowel movement patterns to choose the quantity that works best for you.
2. How often should diapers be changed?
Reusable diapers need to be changed more frequently than disposable ones. Usually, this means every 2 hours, but the timing can vary depending on your child’s needs.
3. How many inserts are needed for reusable diapers?
For babies and children, one 5-layer insert is recommended. For nighttime, it is advisable to combine two or more inserts, depending on the amount of urine.
4. How often should reusable diapers be washed?
Used diapers should be washed every 2 days.
5. How should reusable diapers be washed?
Before washing: remove solid waste.
Pre-wash:
30–60 min program / gentle cycle (e.g., Synthetics)
40°C
Half the usual detergent amount
Half-load of the drum with diapers (if load is small, add wet towels)
Main wash:
2–3 hour program (e.g., Cottons)

Full detergent amount according to package
2/3–3/4 drum load (can wash with other laundry)
Wash every 2 days (if pre-wash done within 48 hours, can wash every 3–4 days)

6. How should cloth diapers be dried?
Diapers can be dried in a dryer at low temperature (about 1 hour for diapers, 2–3 hours for inserts). During summer, it is recommended to air-dry diapers and inserts outside.
7. How to remove stains from cloth diapers?
Stains are completely normal. The best and most natural way to remove stains is sunlight! Hang the diapers in the sun, and it will naturally help remove the stains.
